What I’m Watching
One YouTube channel I’ve been devouring lately is Peter Santenello. This guy goes around the world digging deeper into different cultures & lifestyles by just interviewing people.
It’s so refreshing. You hear things on the news that may be one way, but he goes in and shows the truth behind different aspects of life.
He’s made trips to Alaska, Phoenix, Beverly Hills, and all over the world.
In this video, he visits a man in Kentucky who is completely off-grid and fully self-sustainable. He’s been living out there for years and seems like such a kind soul.
It’s really cool to see.
My New Purchase
As you probably know, I move all the time… and since I have hundreds of books, lugging them around has been super annoying.
So I got a Kindle!
I honestly can’t believe I didn’t make this purchase sooner.
Was always afraid of buying an electronic reading device because it kind of hurts my eyes, but this thing reads like paper.
It doesn’t hurt the eyes, it’s lightweight, and the battery is insane.
You can literally use it for days without charging and in one click you can get a new book.
For avid readers who don’t want a full library, this thing is a no-brainer.
My 300lb Squat
My entire life I’ve always been known as a man with chicken legs and told I was disproportionate – meaning my upper body was way too big for my lower body.
So growing up I couldn’t squat. I always had really weak legs and knee problems.
After a year of training, I just hit 300 lbs on the squat bar, which I never thought would be possible.
Goes to show if you do something consistently over a period of time, and do it the right way, you’re going to get better even if you don’t think it is possible.
