Here are a few resources I’ve created and a few things I’ve been enjoying outside Amazon FBA.
Close Encounter
Over Memorial Day weekend I took a trip to Asheville, North Carolina – a smallish mountain town that is good for relaxing and enjoying yourself.
They have great food and some of the best breweries in the country. As well as some beautiful waterfalls, hiking, and golf.
But be careful there too…
During one of our scenic drives, we had a close encounter with a black bear, as you can see in the picture. It was literally walking right next to the car, and all we could do was roll up the windows!
Still, it was a pretty cool trip. I kind of think Ashville is a hidden gem to visit.
My First Home
My entire life I’ve always been a renter, which has allowed me to move around from city to city. I grew up in Iowa, and then moved to Phoenix; Denver; and then Phoenix again. Then to Memphis and now we’re in Nashville, renting.
I’ve kind of gotten tired of moving around though. It’s very exhausting – especially when we move literally every year.
So we’re going to buy our first house, which is exciting! It’s going through closing right now.
It’s located in North Nashville, about minutes away from downtown, in an up and coming neighborhood. Since I work every day, I was trying to get a place that I’d enjoy being in, and something that has the ability to grow in value.
Overall, I’m excited but also nervous.
The housing market is just so confusing right now. In a year or two I could see home prices falling. But I guess time will only tell if this was a bad time or a good time to buy a house.
Eventually our goal is to rent this house out and get something with more land in the future.
A Play That Still Baffles Me To This Day
If you’re a baseball fan, I think this play will absolutely baffle you. It’s with Javier Baez and the Chicago Cubs.
There were two outs, and Baez hit a grounder to third base.
He’s running to first base, and all that first baseman has to do is touch the base. But no, Javier runs back to home, and gets himself in a pickle – which allows the runner on second to score.
By the end of the play Baez somehow ends up on second, and they score a run.
Even if you don’t like baseball, but have a little bit of understanding, this play is absolutely incredible and crazy. It’s something you will probably see once every 50 years.
