Here are a few resources I’ve created and a few things I’ve been enjoying outside Amazon FBA.
What I Am Reading
You Need More Money by Matt Manero. This was recommended to me by a friend who is also in the online business space. This book really breaks down no matter where you are in life, you need more money.
The idea seems a little off at first but after reading all this book does is help you think about where you want to be in life, what age you want to retire, what type of life you want to provide to your family, and what that will ACTUALLY cost.
This book was the first time I really thought deeply about financial numbers of what it would take to achieve my dream life. Before, I had ideas but never solid numbers of what it would take.
Really thinking about those solid numbers and goals is a bit stressful, as you realize you may be acting like you are there already but actually nowhere close.
This book is really a reality check on your financial life, where most people, including myself, really don’t like to think about it too much because it’s uncomfortable.
You say to yourself that we are fine, but if you break down what it actually takes to protect you and your family if there is a tragic accident or you just want to retire by 55 and have a big family, you are going to most likely need more money and a well thought out plan. Simple and inspiring read.
A Little Goal For Myself
Something I have been trying to do more of is strike up random conversations with strangers.
I’ve noticed that the only time I do this is when I am out having a drink, otherwise talking to anyone new I am usually pretty awkward or defensive (probably a symptom of working at home for 5+ years).
Every rare time I strike up a conversation with someone new it is usually an energizing experience and something I enjoy, where the idea usually scares me.
I think being a full adult now, I should probably have some social skills and not let new people scare me haha.
What I realize when I talk to people out in the wild, 99% of the people are awesome and so nice, where on social media all I see is the world burning down and everyone yelling at each other.
This calms me and tells me everything is going to be alright when I find those conversations. Reminding me that the real world is nothing like what we see on social media.
Quote That Hits Home
“Inaction breeds doubt and fear. Action breeds confidence and courage. If you want to conquer the negative elements in your life, don’t sit at home and think about it. Go out and get busy!” — Dale Carnegie
