I wanted to take a minute to share some resources and ideas with you. Here’s some of the stuff I’ve been working on, creating, and enjoying over the past week.
Branding on Amazon FBA Just Took A Huge Step with Seller Incentives
Amazon just launched a new program to help brand registered sellers. You can earn credits, bonuses, and other benefits. So if you have a small brand on Amazon, this should help level the playing field when you compete against large sellers.
However, there are certain requirements you have to meet to be eligible for this new program. So if you want to learn more about it, go ahead and check out this new video I just made.
Favorite TV show of the week
I just watched WeCrashed on Apple TV. It’s the story of the rise and fall of a $47 billion dollar startup WeWork. Rebekah and Adam Neumann grow the company from a single co-working space into a global brand. Their love story is at the center of the story and the series features a chaotic plummet in valuation and Adam being forced out as CEO (though he owns controlling shares).
Here’s an interesting article I read, that tells the story behind the story of Rebekah and Adam and the bubble they created.
I wish they added in more of the business insights of what happened vs making it more of a dramatized show, but still it’s definitely worth the watch! It made me reflect on the bedrock approach we teach our students (basically a slow and steady approach to growing wealth).
Amazon FBA Live Q&A
In this week’s live Q&A, I covered a variety of topics like:
- PPC tactics and optimization
- Who to use for product photos
- Sourcing products from countries other than China
- Negotiating with suppliers
- And much more…
Latest Book I’m Reading
I am reading the book “Ready, Fire, Aim”… It’s a book on how to scale business from 0-1mil, then 1-10mil, then 10-100 mil, then 100 mil +. I’m only about 1/4th through but it is a refreshing book so far, and so much different than many of the other business books out there.
It’s about approaching a goal differently, with the idea of accomplishing it quickly. The premise is to take action first, then make adjustments and fix mistakes as they become obvious.
