Here are a few resources I’ve created and a few things I’ve been enjoying outside Amazon FBA.
What I Have Been Watching
Fargo Season 5 on Hulu.
If you haven’t heard of Fargo before, they do their show a bit differently. Every season has a different story and a different cast.
The theme is always the same, dark, ominous, and crime-ridden. Taking place somewhere in the cold tundra of the northern midwest based on real stories.
The making of any great show, right?
After watching the first season all the way back in college, I was hooked. The first season was one of the best seasons of any series I have ever watched.
Season 4 was a bit disappointing in my eyes, but giving it another chance in Season 5 was a very wise decision. It is right up there with Seasons 1, 2, and 3 for me.
Not only are the casts jam-packed every season, but they also have the over-exaggerated cliffhangers that try to play on every emotion you have, I am talking about you here Suits. The story and show is just good, and it’s what keeps you coming back for more.
Highly suggest you give it a chance, start with Season 5. If you like it, go back to Season 1 (as order doesn’t matter). I promise you, you will be delighted.
The Year Of Saying No
I love traveling and love networking, which is all great and dandy. But with each trip and event though, there is a price that is paid.
2023 was one of my most eventful years ever. Trips to Europe, trips to the Park City, trips to Miami, 3 National Parks, and many more.
The price I paid was getting off my routine, being hungover whether from drinking or exhaustion, and losing one of the most important things in business, momentum.
The way we hold onto momentum that can push us over the edge, is by saying no. No to parties, no to going out, no to taking that 2-week trip, and even no to networking events.
You might be saying that this seems like a stupid take…
Why do a business with so much freedom if you aren’t going to take advantage?
That is a fair question, but it is a simple equation to me.
Would I rather take a whole year or two of locking down for decades of an even higher level of freedom?
Most would answer yes to that.
So this is the year for me of saying no. Besides short weekend trips into the woods to recharge, I am avoiding major momentum killers.
The key here is to week after week, to keep gaining momentum in business growth and personal growth, never taking your foot off the gas pedal.
I suggest you look at anything in your life that is sucking time and momentum and learn to say no to those things. As for things YOU really want in life, there is always a sacrifice that needs to be made.
These sacrifices usually seem like you are killing fulfillment in life, but usually, it is the opposite.
Things like drinking, hanging out with friends who never seem to grow or change, mindlessly scrolling on the internet… imagine if you said no to those?
How much more time would you have to work on your business, work on yourself, and become the person you want to be?
I am not saying you have to be perfect, I surely am not. If you make progress on this bit by bit, it would be hard to imagine your life not getting better.
