When you’re building an Amazon business, it’s a lot of hard work. It can be nonstop for long periods of time…with occasional short breathers. It’s just as important to know when you need to take a break as it is to know when to stay laser focused.
My Favorite Kind Of Vacation
Have you ever taken a vacation where almost everything you did was spontaneous? Ya know…gee that little lane going toward the ocean looks interesting…screech of tires…let’s check it out! Wow…look at that castle on the hill..what do you say…zoom…why not! What a charming looking village and farmer’s market…let’s stop!
To me those are the most fun kinds of vacations. A rough “itinerary” that gets junked whenever something more interesting shows up. A few places you definitely don’t want to miss, but everything else has to be freeform.
It’s such a great way to recharge, and regenerate your creativity.
If you’re like me, in “real life” (non-vacation), you’re extremely busy every minute of every day. It actually becomes work just to make yourself slow down.
Been Dreaming Of Galway
I’m not sure what it is that attracts me, but I’ve wanted to go to Galway in Ireland for a while now. It’s a harbor city on the Atlantic Ocean on Ireland’s west coast. The center of the city is 18th-century Eyre Square, surrounded by shops and traditional pubs with live Irish folk music.
One of the things that interests me the most is that it’s a medieval city started in the 1200s. Hey, the United States is a baby in comparison! Just put “pictures of Galway Ireland” into Google and look at the photos. You’ll see why it’s interesting.
Check out the photo in this Guardian article, A local’s guide to Galway City: 10 top tips. You can see how interesting it is with old stone buildings and the pubs to hang out and try different brews.
Sometimes You Gotta Just Step Away
It’s easy to get so tired that you lose creativity. When that happens, it’s hard to feel the same energy about your Amazon business. It’s every bit as important to know when to take a vacay as it is to know when to drill down and give it everything you’ve got.
Taking a break…and knowing when to take a break…contributes to growing your business.
