Less Is More…Three Instead Of Thirty

Here are a few resources I’ve created and a few things I’ve been enjoying outside Amazon FBA.

Amazon FBA Product Research Tutorial (Winners Look Like This!)

Product research is the most important part of an Amazon FBA business. If you don’t get this part right, none of the rest of the business will work at all.

So to help, I made this video, where I do live, unscripted product research to help you understand the process and get products that work. It covers tons of important topics like generating & validating ideas, researching trends, using keywords, and much more.

What I’ve Been Up To Outside Amazon FBA: Paring Down And Doing Less

I’ve talked about Michael Masterson’s book Ready, Fire, Aim before. I’m slowly making my way through it. My big takeaway this week is the whole idea of Less Is More. We’re so easily distracted by the latest shiny objects. It’s so easy to pile on all kinds of “stuff” to do.

I’m in the process of paring it all down. It’s probably helped a lot by getting ready to move to Nashville, and dumping as much junk as possible before the move. Michael talks about coming up with three things to focus on in your business…the main things that move your business forward. Get rid of the other thirty things you’ve been spending time on. This really resonates with me.

Here’s an 11-minute video summary of the book if you’re interested.

Favorite Podcast Of The Week

On my way back from the bachelor party I went to for one of my buddies back home, I listened to a podcast that really fit. I already mentioned that having no internet connection for the weekend was so refreshing. No more constantly checking the phone. Just being present with my friends.

I really enjoy Lex Fridman’s podcasts. They are very down-to-earth and grounding. In this podcast, Lex introduces Cal and talks about how to decide on the “right amount” of email and social media for you. The timing could not have been more perfect for me.

The podcast is called Deep Work, Focus, Productivity, Email, and Social Media, and it’s about eliminating distractions. That’s the way to do focused deep work on whatever we want in our life.

I’ve been working toward eliminating distractions and having the capacity to do more and more deep work. I hope you enjoy this as much as I do.
