Here are a few resources I’ve created and a few things I’ve been enjoying outside Amazon FBA.
Please, Do Not Do This
Last weekend, I had an opportunity to do something that always fascinated me and I personally wanted to experience.
That thing was taking part in a 2-day ceremony of Ayahuasca.
Now before I tell you about my experience, I have to say please look into this yourself DEEPLY before deciding to do it. Ayahuasca is one of the most powerful hallucinogens you can take and the experience can be no picnic. Also, you will need to consult with your doctor.
I did this ceremony at a retreat down in Florida, where it was legal because of religious exemption. I thought this would be more of a ruse to do these drugs, but at the core, everything about it was religious. More in the way of Buddhism than in Christianity, if that makes sense.
After hours of prepping with meditation and breath work, the 1st night I took 3 doses of the Mother Ayahuasca (what they called it because it takes care of you), this night I had some brief moments of clarity, gratitude and love. They were very brief because the next 4-6 hours were just nausea and me wishing that it would be over.
The next morning I didn’t think I could do that another night. Felt like I had taken a huge dose of magic mushrooms and gotten food poisoning at the same time.
After going through the planned day of more meditation, yoga, and breathing work. I started to calm down, and had a slight realization that maybe I was fighting this experience? Just like I fight and try to control most of what I experience in life. If I did it a 2nd night, I would need to let go and just accept it.
After talking with the coaches/shamans about this before the ceremony, that would be my intention for the 2nd night (before each ceremony you want to set intentions to guide Mother Ayahuasca to help you with the problem you are trying to solve), that I would let go of anxiety, stresses, fears, that took me out of the present moment and no longer served me.
With that being the new angle to dive into, my 2nd night was much different. It involved mind-blowing visuals, feelings, and took me on a ride for hours, where I had 0 control. Then in the last half of my experience, I came through a bit more and was able to see a lot about how I was going about my life in a way that made things much harder than they should be ALONG with what felt like 100’s of other insights.
Now I am not even a week out from this experience so it’s hard to say the long-term benefits from it, but as of now I feel more relaxed, more in control of my emotions, more present, and a feeling that this will get better with work over time.
This was one of the hardest things I’ve done in my life, as you’re forced to look inward DEEPLY while the drug shoves you 100x deeper without a choice. Take extreme caution with this, as it was no picnic.
P.S. – This is the short version of my experience, what I explained above was just the tip of the iceberg, if you would like to potentially see a YouTube video on this please reply to this email. If we get enough people interested I will make one going into every detail.
Tik Tok Ban
Once again, TikTok is facing a ban in Congress. Either they get thrown off the app store or the Chinese interests get sold from the company. This is very interesting timing with TikTok Shop picking up steam, wonder if Amazon lobbyists have anything to do with this.
Either way, I think it is positive news for attention spans and it’s probably positive news for Amazon sellers to have less competition…with a negative of losing another sales channel and traffic channel to diversify in.
Great thread on Staying Lean
An excellent X thread on how to stay lean year-round (w/o counting calories), a big goal for me this year is to get down to 15% body fat!
