Maybe the hardest part of the Amazon FBA journey is finding your winning product…
Over the years it has definitely become harder and harder to find winning products.
The days of just throwing a yoga mat on Amazon with crappy photos, and making 10k/month are over!
We must have a proven plan and we must outthink the others who are too lazy to find a product that can survive for not just 6 months, but 1, 2, and even 5+ years in the Amazon space.
So how do you find a product that can survive that long?
We must mix passion and data…
What I mean by this, is that yes, we need to find a product that makes sense when it comes to the data…
The demand needs to be there, the sales, the keyword searches, and a rising trend of popularity (aka google trends graph goes up over time).
BUT!
That is not enough..
We also want something we can be passionate about.
Why?
The products we are passionate about are the ones that we know MOST about.
Why is that important? –
– If we know more about a product we then know how to add value to that product.
– We know what improvements need to be done based on personal experience.
– Maybe most importantly, we know the customer…because WE ARE the customer!
When the data and passion come together, we then have the advantage over all else…
We can leverage this in making incredibly niched-down products that no one can copy and add more value than ever to that specific customer.
Now, finding a product like this isn’t easy…
If it was easy, everyone would do it, right?
If you can find a product you know a lot about or use every day (the smaller the niche the better sometimes), and if the data makes sense on Amazon…
This could be a recipe for success!
