Here are a few resources I’ve created and a few things I’ve been enjoying outside Amazon FBA.
This Made Me Quit Alcohol Forever
One of my favorite entrepreneurs to follow is a guy named Alex Becker.
He’s very no-nonsense and he talks about things that prevent you from doing the work to get the results you want. And in this video, he goes over alcohol and the detrimental effects of it if you want to build a business.
It made me realize that alcohol is just a trap. It has all kinds of negative effects on your motivation, social groups, and work life. You dumb yourself down socializing with people that kind of bring no value, and you’re usually groggy for the next 2-3 days after drinking. So you’re wasting days of your life by drinking.
I still drink occasionally, but every time I do it I’m just full of regret because I feel like crap. When you have big goals you have to make certain sacrifices that will delay or make your goals impossible. This is just the trade off of life.
What I am Looking More Into
If you’re running an Amazon brand, usually your next step is to build a Shopify store.
Initially, we obviously leverage Amazon’s millions of customers, so we don’t have to spend $10-20k on Facebook ads and take care of fulfillment. But the next step is to unleash your brand on Shopify.
Shopify recently released the Shop App – which pulls in all of the products from Shopify. Kind of like Amazon does with its catalog. With their goal, if I had to guess, to compete with Amazon.
If you currently have a Shopify store, I’d definitely look into this and make sure your products are appearing on the Shop App. It’s going to be a great way to get more traffic and get some of your sales off of Amazon.
Overall, this is very exciting. As Amazon sellers this will give another potential traffic source for our brands.
A Purchase That I Made In Seconds
I hate cable… So I use YouTube TV, and it’s been great to watch sports and things like that.
This year Youtube TV took over NFL Sunday Ticket from Direct TV. So you no longer have to be held hostage by getting a dish and a separate bill to get a NFL Sunday ticket.
I watch a lot of football so I made a purchase in seconds. It’s something I’m really excited about, that way I no longer have to illegally stream games haha.
Before, I didn’t have direct TV. So I would literally not be able to watch the games I wanted. So this is massive.
