What I am doing on TikTok Shop…

In this YouTube video here: Is Amazon FBA Still Worth It In 2024? (The TRUTH)

I talk about how I don’t care if we have to use Amazon or TikTok Shop to get sales…

What I do care about is whatever gives you the best cash flow to help you build your brand and business.

With that being said, here is how I am approaching TikTok Shop when putting one of my Amazon FBA products on there.

1. Set up your TikTok Shop:

2. Focus on organic content first:

  • Post daily, aim for 1-3 posts per day
  • Use a mix of content: 1 shoppable video followed by 3 regular posts
  • Maintain this posting schedule for 30-60 days
  • Goal: Make your account look reputable, gain followers, and start making organic sales

3. Build proof of concept:

  • Aim to make some initial sales through your organic content
  • This proves your product’s viability to potential affiliates, as they ONLY go after products they know they are selling already

4. Set up affiliate marketing:

  • Use the “Open Collaboration” feature in TikTok Shop
  • Add all your products to the collaboration
  • Set a competitive commission rate (suggested 30% to start but do your own math here)
  • Offer free samples to affiliates to make it easier for them to use your product in videos

5. Use “Target Collaboration”:

  • Search for relevant creators in your niche
  • Reach out to 100-300 people in your category
  • Send personalized invitations to collaborate along with offering free samples (Use manual review for sample requests to maintain control)

6. Move to paid advertising:

  • Start with your best-performing organic content that you KNOW is already converting
  • Boost successful affiliate content that is converting (get their ad ID)
  • Consider creating similar content to push to Amazon using attribution links

To summarize, you want to start with organic content first, as this allows you to get sales and make your product look like an attractive product to affiliates (they can see your product revenue on the back end!).

Remember, affiliates are money-hungry little animals, they just care about making some coin and they will not risk doing it with a product that doesn’t have a history of selling already.

Then once the organic has some proof of concept, you will do the affiliate steps up above now that your product is a bit more sexier of an opportunity.

Then ONLY do paid ads once you have pieces of content that are working to push them even further!
